Usually not. Many residential projects can be reviewed remotely using the address, property information, aerial and street views, and photos when needed. Some unusual or larger projects may still need additional review.

I’m local, and this is my own business. I’ve invested in training and professional equipment so I can do the job right, and my name is on the line with every job. I’m the one who quotes it, does the work, and the one you call if anything comes up. No middlemen, no rotating techs. I’m also insured.

My normal service area is Appleton and the directly surrounding communities. If you are unsure whether your property is within the regular service area, send the address and I can confirm before you schedule anything.

Your price is based on the size of the area, the surface or material, how high and how easy to reach it is, and the condition of what’s being cleaned. Your quote shows one simple price for the job before any work begins. Starting prices for each service are on my Pricing page.

Once the scope and pricing are confirmed, the project can be scheduled. Before the service date, you will receive information about anything that should be prepared around the property.

Payment is due when your service is completed unless your estimate states otherwise. I accept cash, check, Venmo or card. For card payments, I’ll send you a payment link after service.

Services are available as one-time projects. Book once or as often as you like. If you want annual or repeat maintenance, I can help you schedule it when needed.

Yes. Exterior work can be affected by rain, wind, temperature and other conditions. Light weather does not automatically prevent every service, but unsafe or unsuitable conditions may require the schedule to be adjusted.

Please report any concerns within 48 hours of service, with photos. I’ll review them and follow up to let you know whether it’s normal for the service or needs a return visit.

House washing is generally performed with a lower-pressure cleaning approach rather than blasting siding with maximum pressure. The method is selected based on the material and the type of buildup being removed.

House washing is designed for common exterior organic buildup such as green algae, mildew, dirt and dark staining on siding and surrounding exterior surfaces. The exact scope depends on the quote for the property.

It’s good to know that darker siding and trim colors can show water spots after drying because of the mineral content in the water supply. I use a premium mix and soap that reduce overall spotting caused by water quality, but they may not remove it completely. If you’d like to see how your home dries, try a quick water test: spray part of an area and wait for it to dry.

Usually not. Those tiny, hard black dots are most likely artillery fungus. Many homeowners think it’s bug droppings, but it’s a fungus from mulch beds that shoots tiny dots onto siding, trim and windows, and the dots stick firmly. House washing and window cleaning take care of dirt, spider webs and black streaks, but they usually won’t remove artillery fungus dots. If you see them on your home, mention it in your quote request so I can let you know what to expect up front.

No. Attached vines, vine roots, tendrils and the marks they leave behind are not removed as part of normal house washing. Removing established vines can also uncover staining, attachment points or surface damage that cleaning cannot repair.

No. Rust, oxidation, mineral deposits, paint, grease, clay and other specialty conditions are not included with standard house washing. Oxidation removal is a separate specialty service for suitable siding, and permanent fading, age or material damage may still remain.

No. Materials age and wear differently based on original construction, finish, sun and weather exposure, foot or vehicle traffic, previous repairs or coatings, and how long the surface has gone without maintenance. Two areas that look similar before cleaning can sometimes dry with different color, texture or wear patterns once buildup is removed.

Water, rinse runoff or cleaning solution can sometimes pass over a lower or adjacent surface and partially clean it. For example, roof-cleaning runoff may brighten a section of dirty concrete below, or walkway cleaning may leave a cleaner line across an uncleaned driveway. That does not automatically add the surrounding surface to the approved scope. If you want the full area cleaned for a more uniform appearance, I can discuss adding it when practical.

Pressure washing is commonly used on durable exterior surfaces such as concrete driveways, sidewalks, porches and patios. The cleaning method is still adjusted to the condition of the surface.

Oil, rust, paint, tire marks, efflorescence, mineral staining and similar specialty conditions are not part of standard concrete cleaning unless specifically listed in the estimate. Some conditions may not be fully correctable.

Organic surface cleaning may be available for appropriate brick and paver areas. Joint-sand replacement, re-sanding and sealing are not included.

For most homes, yes. House washing includes a rinse of the exterior windows, but it isn’t dedicated window cleaning. An exterior window wash after your house washing finishes the job. You remove the screens, then I scrub the exterior glass with a water-fed pole and rinse it with purified water from my 4-stage RO-DI (reverse osmosis/deionized) system. In plain words, it filters the minerals out of the water, so the glass dries spot-free. Baked-on minerals from neglected windows or past sprinkler overspray won’t come off with a maintenance clean, since that takes window restoration. It isn’t traditional window cleaning, but it’s great for general buildup and routine upkeep. Why I don’t remove screens: most screens have to be taken out from inside the home, and they bend or break easily when handled from the outside. That’s why I ask homeowners to remove them before I arrive. If a few get missed, I’ll rinse through the screen as best I can, but the glass behind it won’t get a full scrub.

No. Timler Exterior Services provides exterior-only window cleaning.

I count by panes of glass, which helps me give you the most accurate quote. A standard double-hung window is 2 panes (top and bottom), a sliding window is 2, a single picture window is 1, and a patio door is usually 2. Your quote shows one simple price for the job.

No. Exterior window cleaning is intended for routine dirt, pollen and environmental buildup on the outside glass. Artillery fungus can bond tightly to the glass and is not removed as part of normal exterior window maintenance cleaning.

Exterior window cleaning is focused on routine exterior glass maintenance. Hard-water restoration, paint or silicone removal, construction debris, screen cleaning and failed insulated-glass seals are not included unless specifically discussed.

Timler Exterior Services primarily serves one- and two-story homes, including many walkout and peak areas that can be safely reached with normal equipment. Projects that require specialized lift access or fall outside the normal working range may be declined. For gutter cleaning, I don’t service three-story homes because they can’t be reached safely.
